Taj Mahotsav 2024, a cultural festival dedicated to the enduring love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz, will take place from February 18th to 27th at Shilpgram in Agra.
The festival, in its 32nd edition, showcases India's rich art and culture, featuring local artists, craftspeople, culinary experts, and performers from Uttar Pradesh.
Initiated in 1992, Taj Mahotsav aims to highlight and support the talents of artisans from across India, contributing to the cultural and tourism landscape.
The Taj Mahotsav, organized by the Department of Tourism, operates daily from 10:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Entry fees are as follows:
Adults - INR 50, Children (up to 5 years) - Free,
Children (5 to 10 years) - INR 10,
Foreign tourists - Free, School groups (100 children) - INR 500 with free entry for two accompanying teachers.
From tribal crafts to traditional arts, indigenous cuisines, and musical performances, the festival showcases India's diverse cultural facets.
Agra Cantt Railway Station, around 6 km from the city center, is the nearest major train station.
