After completing BCA he got a job in a startup and in that startup he worked for free for 2 months, after that the company started paying him around 20K per month. And after some time he got a hike and then the company was paying him around 35K per month. Around 2020 he tried to switch and he got multiple offers the highest offer he got was 70K per month from another startup. And when he got hired permanently then his base package was around 12LPA. Recently he tried to switch again and he got a 100% hike in his salary because of the hike, the new company is paying him around 50LPA (estimated).
Technical Evolution
Neeraj’s technical journey spans languages like C, C++, Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, and Node.js. Transitioning from PHP to full-stack development, he currently specializes in MERN Stack. Notably, he is currently working on frontend frameworks like Tailwind CSS, React.js, and Next.js.
Views on FAANG and Educational Choices
Neeraj never goes after FAANG companies, citing a lack of interest in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). He decided against pursuing an MCA after BCA based on advice from a colleague, emphasizing gaining practical experience and job growth.
Interest in Content Creation
Before joining a startup, he made TikTok videos and started a YouTube channel with a friend, but it didn’t work out. He then launched his channel where he roasted movies and explored gaming content with popular creator CarryMinati. Later he started roasting Instagram videos and TikTok videos, inspired by CarryMinati. This led him to 8000 subscribers within just 3 months. After a two-year relationship ended, taking about 2-2.5 years to recover, his YouTube channel became inactive, and he stopped uploading videos for a while.
