The museum have a diverse array of royal cars and carriers spanning from 1900 to the 1970s, once owned by prominent kings, Maharajas, and notable figures in Indian history. Signature exhibits include the 1949 Rolls Royce, 1906 Minerva, 1927 Phantom I, and the 1923 Silver Ghost, alongside iconic French Hotchkiss cars. The oldest antique on display is the 1903-model Fiat.

Founded by industrialist Gautam Sarabhai and his sister Gita Sarabhai, the museum was inaugurated by India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Preserving diverse weaving materials and vibrant fabrics, the museum moved to “The Retreat” in the Sarabhai House in 1983.
